Chevron Australia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Analyst - Workforce Planning and Analytics to join the Remuneration, Projects and Planning team. This three year maximum term role will be based in Perth and will report to the Manager – Remuneration, Policy and Planning (Human Resources).


Key responsibilities include:


  • Tracking metrics and providing analysis to support senior leadership decision making on HR activities
  • Identification of trends and providing recommendations to leadership that drive HR business decisions
  • Workforce planning including strategic staffing
  • Reporting on diversity and inclusion metrics (including Workplace Gender Equality Agency reporting), headcount, using HR information systems (JDE, SAP, COGNOS,)
  • Data analysis including predictive analytics; manipulating and interpreting data using various tools such as Excel, Spotfire, etc.
  • Commitment to health, environment and safety and Chevron best practices


Key skills and experience required:


  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Effective data gathering and reporting skills
  • Ability to develop and test hypothesis
  • Ability to interpret and tell a story through data
  • Advanced Excel skills including a solid understanding of Power Query, Power Pivot, analytics, dashboard presentation, data tables and pivot tables
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Proven ability to validate data for inaccuracies and identify/ recognise anomalies
  • Ability to identify customer, business needs, assess gaps, and align solutions to meet business needs
  • Experience with and ability to participate effectively as part of a team, internally and cross-functionally
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and build key relationships that contribute to high-class business results
