Overview:

 

Successful candidate must possess knowledge in all aspects of land management as related to oil and gas operations and demonstrate necessary skills to effectively manage a defined area of responsibility. Will be required to provide competent land and business guidance to assist Asset Teams, Key Stakeholders and Management in meeting goals and objectives.  5+ years of Land experience preferred.  

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Acquiring oil and gas leases,
  • Developing leasing strategies,
  • Acquiring ROWs/Easements,
  • Settling surface damages,
  • Negotiating and drafting traditional and complex oil and gas agreements (Leases, ROWs, Easements, Farmout/in, Trades, Term Assignments, PSAs, JOAs, JV Agreements, etc.),
  • Researching courthouse and land records as needed,
  • Working with federal, state and local officials as necessary,
  • Overseeing due diligence for acquisitions and divestitures,
  • Clearing title/performing curative work for new drills and recompletions
  • Effectively manage contract personnel, field land agents, and outside legal counsel to assist in all leasing and title work

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree - Petroleum Land Management, Energy Commerce, Business, Law
  • 5 years of Land experience
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships that contribute to business results.
  • Working knowledge of all land systems including QLS and QGIS,
  • Ability to perform a variety of lease maintenance activities

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Master’s degree
  • RPL/CPL Certified

 

Relocation Options:

 

Relocation may be considered.

Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
