Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

 

  • Monitor and maintain the HP Non-Stop Hardware Systems (capacity, performance, analysis, procedures, alerts, resolutions, and timely management communications.)
  • Maintain the Non-Stop System Network Configuration.
  • Opening, tracking, and closing of incidents and requests in ticket management system; ensures problem/request ownership and promotes end-user satisfaction by managing the end users expectations.
  • Provide problem resolution on the telephone or via remote control software that walks the user through a series of steps to determine problem and resolve the problem in a timely manner while delivering a high degree of customer service.
  • Troubleshoot POS infrastructure problems and work with vendors to resolve support issues
  • Proactively manage the POS infrastructure including documenting procedures and best practices for managing configuration, troubleshooting and escalations.
  • Perform POS programming tasks to maintain system and health checks
  • Coordinate with vendors for issues and alert seen.
  • Diagnoses system hardware, software, and system problems.
  • Communicate ideas of improvement to the technical lead following all proper escalation guidelines
  • Support the roll out of retail applications as needed
  • Communicate any outstanding and/or critical issues to support teams
  • Ensures a positive and professional relationship by complying with client policies and procedures.
  • Fosters a positive work environment and partnership with support teams and vendors.


Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology or any related degree
  • Minimum of 1-2 Server Administration
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities. Strong follow–up skills and sense of urgency.
  • Eagerness to learn new technology and internally developed tools
  • Ability to work in a flexible 24x7 schedule based on department and company needs.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Knowledge of HP NonStop environment
  • Prior experience with Tacl Macro Programming, Spooler, NetBatch, FUP is a plus
  • Experience in POS infrastructure, application, and administration
  • Experience on Bank applications
  • Basic understanding of Windows Server environment
  • Good understanding of Network Infrastructure: TCP/IP, X.25
  • Basic understanding of the following technologies: Remedy or similar incident reporting software, SharePoint, light scripting or coding
