This is a position in the Process Control System/ Enterprise Automation Team of the ETC FED Process Automation Unit.  This position provides process control system (PCS) and OSIsoft PI development expertise, guidance, and support. This position works with stakeholders to develop PCS technologies and resolve PCS issues.  This position will also engage and work across enterprise (FE, IT, and Operation) to develop an overall digital strategy for process automation, develop integrated optimization solutions, and support advance analytics applications.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:


  • Work in a collaborative environment to drive the Process Automation (PA) PCS and digital strategies and vision across the enterprise, and influence through communication.
  • Develop integration solutions to enable the deployment of facility optimization and advance analytics applications.
  • Develop business case and strategies
  • Develop project scope, specifications, and design
  • Perform solution testing and validation
  • Deploy and provide support for the solution


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering and Process Engineering)
  • A minimum of 10 years’ demonstrated experience of process control system, OSIsoft PI product, and operations support
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with process control system integration and real-time interface to the enterprise
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Honeywell and/or Yokogawa control system solutions
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with OSIsoft PI solutions (PI administration, PI Asset Framework (AF), PI application and visualization development)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with IT infrastructure design, network component configurations, and security
  • Travel (approximate 10% to 20% of time)
  • Strong written and verbal communcation skills with the ability to deliver clear messages to management
  • Ability to identify, define problems and provide solutions to the client through clear and precise communication
