Overview:

 

This positing is for a GIS Analyst in the Data Integrity and Geospatial Information System (GIS) team within the Chevron Pipeline IT and SCADA organization. The Data Integrity and GIS team is responsible for delivering geospatial, mapping and regulatory services that enable Chevron Pipeline Facilities Engineering, Technical Services, Operations, and other business functions.
 

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

 

  • Work with multiple Chevron Pipeline business and IT teams to collect and visualize pipeline asset information to drive business decisions and insight
  • Analyze pipeline GIS information to meet regulatory compliance and business reporting needs
  • Assess, monitor and improve pipeline asset data quality
  • Generate reports, maps and alignment sheets using PODS, ArcGIS, and other GIS tools
  • Routinely interact with and conduct business engagements to ensure alignment with Operations, Regulatory, Facility Engineering, Base Business, Commercial, and Business Development, and IT and SCADA Teams

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, or related discipline; In lieu of degree, 5 years experience with GIS technologies or pipeline construction, surveying, field data collection will be considered
  • Minimum 2 years experience with GIS technologies (ArcGIS, PODS, Facility Manager, etc.).

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Strong analytic and critical thinking skills
  • Spatial analysis, linear referencing, stationing, a knowledge of pipeline construction/engineering and asset integrity standards and processes

 

Relocation Options:

Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.
