This internship opportunity has a targeted duration of 12 months, beginning in January 2020.


Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Facilities Engineering Intern in Calgary, AB; Canada until Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).



Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:


  • Working with multidisciplinary team on pipelines and upstream Oil and Gas Facilities Projects.
  • Support Operations by completing small projects resulting from Management of Change opportunities.
  • Support Pipeline and facility Projects by conducting benchmarking and doing analysis needed for project controls.
  • Support Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) and Detailed Engineering activities including cost estimates, schedules, contracting plans, design, equipment sizing, HAZOP studies and permitting.
  • Support execution of facility projects including contracting, procurement, quality control, construction management and turnover to operations.




  • Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Chemical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Demonstrated high level of academic performance.
  • Previous oil and gas related internship experience is an asset, experience with unconventional assets preferred.
  • Good communication, leadership, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong work ethic with internal drive to succeed.
  • Strong computer applications knowledge (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Relocation will be considered within Chevron parameters.
