Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Structural Engineer located in Bangkok, Thailand with requsition ID 349347.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:


  • Perform in-house engineering analysis and design review / assurance for modification, strengthening, repairing and integrity check works on existing facilities (topsides, jacket and foundation) to support brown field projects such as infill drilling, asset retirement preparation, well factory modification, remote compressor (RC) relocation work, asset integrity check etc.,
  • Support engineering service and provide consultation for green field and feasibility works for both in-service and pre-service analyses and designs
  • Prepare engineering sketch and review check for drafting and/or urgency field works,
  • Develop scope of work and structural design basis for outsource engineering, if any,
  • Provide material take off for material procurement,
  • Coordinate work with other relevant disciplines to complete quality engineering design with safe, economics, constructability and regulatory compliance,
  • Apply use relevant international code and standard and Chevron engineering standards to meet design expectation and work optimization of project or evaluation study




  • Experience in Offshore structural engineering analysis and design more than 6 years.
  • Civil or Structural engineering background in Bachelor degree as minimum
  • Strong understanding and familiar with offshore structural international codes and standards such as American Institute of Steel Construction, American Society for Testing and Materials, American Petroleum Instritute, Det Norske Veritas Classification including Chevron specifications,
  • Experience and capable to perform and design review on in-service and pre-service structural analyses and design calculations for fixed offshore structure (such as in-place, spectral fatigue, boat impact, push-over, loadout lifting, transportation, flotation, upending, on-bottom, etc.),
  • Capable to perform engineering design and review on miscellaneous calculation as lifting padeye, rigging equipment, anode, mudmat, monorail, dropped object protection, etc,
  • Familiar with offshore structural analysis program as SACS.  Other engineering software will be advantage such as USFOS, GRL Weap, STAAD Pro, other FEA programs, etc,
  • Demonstrate discipline work in structural engineering following right code and standard for small/medium project types
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated safety leadership and knowledge of industrial safe work practices

Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
