Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Senior Process Engineer located in Bangkok, Thailand with requsition ID 161101.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:  


  • This position will be responsible for process optimization/ continuous improvement and process safety discipline expertise. This includes developing process safety resolutions to mitigate hazards and reduce operational risk, providing process engineering support to appraise conceptual engineering solutions for the projects
  • Develop and applie project specifications which are consistent with policies, processes and engineering expectations, for controlling the quality/safety/environmental outcomes of new projects and (existing) process improvement initiatives
  • Work scope will be mainly focused on brownfield facilities but could be expanded to new facilities design (green field)




  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Production Engineering or higher
  • Strong in process design principle by demonstrating proficiency in the design and construction of various package type design. Demonstrating competency in application of Chevron and Industry design, construction and safety standards. Understanding cross discipline concerns being able to drive for optimum solutions
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in process engineering design or operation directly related to the upstream oil and gas and refineries. Experience should cover at least 5 years of process engineering design with engineering consultant
  • Knowledge and experience in upstream technologies and fluently exercise API, ASME and relevant technical codes and standards
  • Fluently use typical process simulation software i.e. HYSYS, HTRI, FLARENET, PIEPSIM, and etc.
  • Demonstrated leadership and fluency in facilities design and construction, managing safe work, managment of change, process safety managment and other operational excellent processes
  • Strong contributor and influencer with a sense of urgency, balancing risk and work required to ensure decision quality.  Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to draw team direction and work effectively and collaboratively in multi-functional team and manage multiple external interfaces and stakeholders. Strong / excellent communication
