Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Quality Assurance / Quality Control Engineer located in Bangkok, Thailand with requsition ID 203201.

The Quality Assurance / Quality Control Engineer will report to the Quality Assurance / Quality Control Team Leader and will implement quality assurance work processes to assure the quality of engineered equipment and materials for facilities and capital projects.


Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:  


  • Lead supplier qualification audit teams, periodic supplier audits, and / or quality issue (root cause analysis, 5 Why, Why Tree) investigations. Participate in supplier improvement initiatives
  • Review engineering deliverables and supplier documentation for compliance with quality assurance requirements, clarity and completeness, incorporation of Chevron engineering standards, industry best practices, and NDE and testing processes required to ensure the quality of the resulting product
  • Develop quality assurance plans and inspection assignment packages to provide assurance that suppliers’ products meet all Chevron purchase order requirements
  • Participate in initiatives to develop / improve quality assurance work processes and increase quality assurance competency throughout Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production (CTEP)


Qualifications: Expatriate assignment will not be considered


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Civil or Industrial Engineering degree acceptable with appropriate experience)
  • Minimum 10 years of industrial experience in quality assurance / quality control, construction management or mechanical design on fixed equipment and/or structures
  • Has knowledge in industry codes including ASME Section XIII, ASME B31.3, ASME Section V, and AWS D1.1 (familiarity with Chevron Engineering Standard is a plus)
  • Has broad knowledge in design, construction, operation of fixed equipment and structures. Able to lead supplier audits
  • Experience in leading small team.  Demonstrated leadership skill with influencer behaviors. Our objective is to be world class quality assurance / quality control function that proactively works back at the front–end of the design process to eliminate repetitive failure
  • Experience related to facilities engineering or capital project execution for oil and gas, petrochemical, and/or energy industries is strongly preferred
  • Strong communication ability in order to gain support from key stakeholders  (business unit, facilities engineering, contractors, suppliers, and business partners) through creditability and respect.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills (both Thai and English) are essential
