Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Geographic Information System (GIS) Specialist located in Bangkok, Thailand with requsition ID 301401

Position Close Date: Mponday, 13 November 2017. 

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

 

  • Provide first line and second line support and training to users of all Geographic Information System (GIS) related solutions
  • Administrate GIS server, including GIS / map services and web applications
  • Administrate geodatabase, including system tuning, replication and synchronization
  • Gather, analyze, and integrate spatial data from staff and determine how best the information can be displayed using GIS
  • Prepare metadata and other documentation related to GIS solutions
  • Operate and maintain GIS system hardware, software, plotter, digitizer etc.
  • Data management, loading and revisioning of spatial data and unstructured data
  • Creation of geospatial solutions (including maps, databases, spreadsheets)

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or related fields
  • Minimum of  3 years’ experience in GIS support and development of GIS solutions
  • Competent in usage of ESRI product suite (ArcGIS etc.)
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong teamwork and customer engagement skills
  • Good oral and written communications skills
  • Familiar with information technology system management processes and tools - incident change management and ticketing system (Remedy)
  • Familiar with information protection policies/standards and compliance
  • Enjoys working with people of diverse cultural backgrounds

 

 

Relocation Options:

Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.

International Considerations:

Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
